polyphia is an instrumental progressive metal band based in plano, texas. blending technical, weaving instrumentations with hip-hop, jazz and r&b influenced grooves, polyphia have created a truly unique sound. their debut full-length, muse, landed on several billboard charts including: no. 5 on internet albums, no. 6 on hard rock albums etc. the band has grown quickly, touring with the other progressive metal giants such as periphery, between the buried and me, and august burns red. ibanez has worked closely with tim henson, one half of the dynamic guitar duo of polyphia, for many years and now proudly present his new signature model, the thbb10. the guitar is highly inspired by the ibanez az model, and it also features some of tims personal touches to make it perfectly designed for his versatile playing style. thbb10 features an american basswood body with a shallow body back contour and a big forearm contour making the guitar body fit the player naturally, thus increasing playing comfort. the az body has a deep waist and different radii on each body edge curve, making it easier to play in both standing or sitting positions. the az roasted maple neck has been heat-treated to increase the woods stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. the roasted maple fretboard has also been heat-treated as well to help it provide a well-balanced note attack and tone with rich sustain. in order to achieve ultimate neck grip comfort, the fretboard edge is finished with a smooth curve. the super all access neck joint offers superior playability with its 8mm concave curve from the body top to the spherical surface of the joint area. by maximizing the joint area between the body and the neck, sustain and resonance are increased as well. ibanez t1502 synchronized bridge w/steel saddles (made by gotoh) features steel saddles and a die-cast zinc tremolo block for a quick response and improved articulation. the 10.5mm string spacing allows for easy picking across strings. its snap-in construction makes it easy to load a tremolo arm. tims custom dimarzio notorious single coil pickups capture the dynamics of a vintage single coil tone, and notorious minibucker bridge pickup moderate output to make great balance with single coils. other features include graphtech tusq xl nut and gotoh magnum lock machine heads w/h.a.p.. a gig bag is included.
